HomeGoods Sister Store Homesense Opening In Westwood

Homesense, owned by the parent company of HomeGoods and TJ Maxx, places a heavier emphasis on furniture, lighting and gifts.

WESTWOOD, MA – The newest venture from HomeGoods and TJ Maxx parent company TJX is on its way to Westwood. Homesense will open its fourth American location at University Station, 281 University Ave., this Thursday, the company announced.

Homesense first opened in Framingham in August before expanding to two locations in New Jersey. The store is similar to HomeGoods, but places a heavier emphasis on furniture, lighting, art and gifts. It will also include a "general store" section with cleaning supplies and various hardware.

The layout of Homesense mirrors that of an actual home interior, with art on the walls and lamps and décor set up as they would be in a living space, People Magazine reported.
