Local Westwood man proposes at Barrett's Haunted Mansion with Spooky Halloween theme Proposal!

Barrett's Haunted Mansion continues to scare and thrill Halloween lovers each year with its constantly changing Mansion and added attraction, "The Cell".  This year local Westwood man, Paul Berry, decided to use the Haunted Mansion as the location for his proposal to now finace Elyse Donovan.

Elyse, a lover of all things Halloween, grew up going to Barrett's Haunted Mansion every year for her birthday.  This year the tradition lived on but with an added surprise at the end. Paul, who is scared of Haunted Mansions persevered thinking about the light at the end of the tunnel. 

Planning the proposal Paul thought about 3 things: what Elyse liked, the surprise factor and how he was going to get Elyse to the location.  Barrett's Haunted Mansion was the perfect location for Paul to propose to his Halloween loving girlfriend.  

"As we waited in line I wasn't too nervous but once we entered the house the nerves came back. The nerves ultimately subsided to absolute fear as Barrett's haunted mansion is one of the scariest haunted houses I had ever been too. After finishing the house we walked outside and there were a bunch of the cast members holding the pumpkin with "Marry Me" carved into it.  I got down on one knee and she said "yes". The whole thing went off perfectly and I couldn't be happier that I went to Barrett's as my fiancee will never forget this day for the rest of her life as she was 100% shocked, and happy, and excited all at the same time," recalled Paul.  

Elyse said "I went from being frightened to shocked to excited all in the matter of moments because of the great work by  the cast and crew at Barrett's Haunted Mansion".
