MIAA Basketball Tournament: Westwood Girls Earn Top Seed

WESTWOOD, MA - The Westwood Wolverines are set to make a run at the basketball state title as the 2016 MIAA Division 2 South pairings have just been announced.

Finishing the regular season with a record of 20-2, the girls team earned the top spot and will face either No. 16 Madison Park or No. 17 Duxbury in the first round on March 3 at 6:30 p.m. The winner of that game moves on to a quarterfinal round game against either No. 8 Dighton-Rehoboth or No. 9 Pembroke.

On the boys’ side, No. 7 Westwood will host No. 10 Scituate on March 2 at 6:30 p.m.

The winner of the Division 2 South tournament will play the winner of the North bracket for a shot at the state championship.
