Prime Motor Group President David Rosenberg and Vice President Matt McGovern invested more than $7 million on the structure of the Hanover dealership, which features 22,000 square feet of space. An official opening event is currently planned for Tuesday, April 12, and will feature test driving of the 2013 Infiniti JX.

The company acquired Tom O'Brien Hyundai in Quincy last month, creating the new Prime Hyundai South dealership. An opening event will be held on Saturday, March 24.

The company is also working on future plans of opening a Mercedes-Benz dealership at a to-be-determined location on the South Shore.

Rosenberg said in a statement that the continued expansion and buzz in auto sales are indicators of an upswing in the market.

"The automotive retail industry took a huge hit when the economy dropped," Rosenberg said in a recent statement. "It's typically one of the first industries impacted in a downturn, but it's traditionally one of the first to recover as well. Expectations are that we're going to see 13 million cars sold this year nationally. We can see the car business as being on the upswing. And we're excited about serving the communities south of Boston."
