TO BE BUILT SIDE-BY-SIDE IN WESTWOOD
On Thursday, October 1, Prime broke ground at 411 Providence Highway in Westwood to build three all-new Acura, Audi and Porsche luxury dealerships. Totaling more than 120,000 square feet of space situated on 12 acres of land along Route 1, the expansion represents an investment of $40 million. The side-by-side dealerships will be situated directly adjacent to Prime’s award-winning Mercedes-Benz of Westwood dealership.

Walsh, Chairman, Westwood Board of Selectmen; Michael Jaillet, Westwood Town Administrator; and Nora Loughnane, Westwood Community and Economic Development Director.
Every aspect of the new facilities will reflect brand luxury with high-end finishes and exclusive, image-appropriate architecture. Each dealership will feature a full service Cafe, meticulously designed lounge areas, Indoor Service Drives, full Wi-Fi accessibility and select Quiet Areas for customers who may wish to work while having their vehicles serviced. The combined dealerships will offer a total of 70 service bays for the utmost in automotive care. A fleet of complimentary loaner vehicles will be available for the use of service customers.
When they open in July of 2016, the new dealerships will incorporate Prime’s existing Acura, Audi and Porsche staff and client base. The expansion will add approximately 25 new jobs to the three dealerships, bringing the total number of employees -- between sales, administration and the service department -- to 180.
Prime CEO David Rosenberg said, “We opened our original Audi and Porsche dealerships in Westwood and our Acura dealership in Walpole in 2007. Over the past eight years we’ve grown and improved the operations significantly. Quite simply, we need more space to better serve our customers. The timing was right and the town of Westwood has been extraordinary to work with as we’ve developed our plans.”
Prime Vice-President Matt McGovern added, “By having Acura, Audi and Porsche immediately next door to our existing Mercedes-Benz dealership, customers in search of a luxury vehicle will have four outstanding brands to explore, all in easy walking distance of each other. We are creating one of the few settings in the country to offer customers the opportunity to test drive and compare multiple brands of luxury vehicles at one convenient destination.”

The facility will be one of the first in the country to reflect the new Hyundai image. The dealership will operate with a staff of 50 people when it opens in May of 2016.
With the Hyundai dealership in Rockland, Prime Motor Group will represent five auto brands within a concentrated area of the South Shore.
