Annual Town Meeting scheduled for Monday, May 4th in the High School Auditorium. Registration begins at 7:00pm, Town Meeting begins at 7:30
This year, Town Meeting will be asked to vote on the annual operating budget, various capital items including, but not limited to an expansion to the Westwood Cemetery and a LED Street Light conversion as well as various zoning amendments. It is encouraged that you attend Town Meeting to vote on these issues in order for the Town to continue to provide the services to the community.

The proposed Islington Fire Station is about to be bid to obtain funding for construction and be presented for consideration at Town Meeting. The design, which has been evolving over the last several months, has achieved the following:

- The designed building meets the Fire Department space and functionality needs
- Three apparatus bays, functional office and living space and built-in training room
- Construction materials are high quality and low maintenance
- Imagery sets the tone for the redevelopment of Islington
- Projected energy consumption is 31 percent lower than just meeting existing base building code
- Construction will be complete by Fall 2016
