It won't be long before the current is no more, making way for the new, vast building that will offer residents a wide array of reading and entertainment materials. 

But what about before? What did the Westwood Public Library look in the olden days? The current library was built on its current site in 1956.

The original building, however, was constructed in 1901 through a gift of resident Howard Colburn with the stipulation that "future buildings on the site be used for the same purpose," according to Nancy Donahue, President of the Westwood Historical Society. The building sat adjacent to the .
