Three Westwood residents graduate from The Rivers School in Weston
Westwood residents Theodore M. Bakas, Victoria J. Nedder, and Lincoln A. Zaleski were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School

WESTON, MA— Westwood residents Theodore M. Bakas, Victoria J. Nedder, and Lincoln A. Zaleski were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 10.
Ted Bakas was a talented and dedicated athlete who played soccer and varsity baseball where he was valued as a team leader. He also was a member of the school’s Debate Team and Entrepreneur Club. Outside of school he was a member of the New England Ruffnecks summer baseball club team and an avid golfer. The son of Michael and Ann Bakas, Ted will attend Indiana University at Bloomington in the fall.
Victoria Nedder was elected to the Cum Laude Society and was awarded the Otto Alcaide Language Prize for French and the Photography Prize at Prize Day on June 9. A high honor roll student, she was member of the women’s chorus, co-editor of The Current, and summer intern through Rivers in the Endocrinology Office at Medical Associates of Greater Boston. This past spring, she traveled to Italy and Croatia with members of the women’s chorus to perform in several European cities. The daughter of Joe and Antonia Nedder, Victoria will attend Dartmouth College in the fall.

Lincoln Zaleski was elected to the Cum Laude Society and received the David Killam Instrumental Music Prize at Prize Day on June 9. He was a member of the Rivers School Conservatory Program, and played trumpet in the award-winning Big Band and Select Combo 1. A high honors student, he was president of Model UN and won multiple awards at regional and national conferences, including Best Research and Outstanding Delegate. With a strong commitment to community service, he participated in service programs locally, around the country, and abroad. The son of Scott Zaleski and Sylva Yeghiayan, Lincoln will attend the College of William and Mary in the fall.
