Driver in Buckmaster Pond Crash to Face OUI Charge
Police say the driver was able to escape with non-life-threatening injuries.

WESTWOOD, MA — A man is recovering from a crash after losing control of his vehicle.
Just before 6 p.m., the driver, identified as a 40-year-old Westwood man, lost control of his vehicle on Pond Street, struck a telephone pole, crashed through a fence, and slid into Buckmaster Pond, according to the Westwood Police Department.
Police say the man was able to get out of his vehicle and was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to fully recover.

The crash is currently under investigation. Tuesday morning, the Westwood Police Department announced that they have filed a criminal complaint against the man for operating under the influence of liquor, negliegent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and speeding.
