Westwood-Based Fitness Business Expands

Core Asset Fitness Training, LLC Adds Staff and Classes

Core Asset Fitness Training, LLC has announced that it has hired a new personal trainer and added a slate of group fitness classes to its roster, an expansion that highlights the successful growth of this seven-year-old mobile fitness company.

Eric Dodson of Norwood, Mass., joins Core Asset Fitness Training as a certified trainer and strength coach. With a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University, Dodson is the ideal addition to the Core Asset Fitness Training team and will focus on training athletes of all ages.

Core Asset Fitness Training has also added group fitness classes in Medfield, Mass., bringing the number of towns in which it teaches to three. Classes are offered through the recreation departments of Westwood, Dover and, now, Medfield.

The success of Core Asset Fitness Training is reflective of the personal training industry as a whole. About 6.5 million Americans use personal trainers, according to the International Health Racquet and Sportsclub Association. That number is expected to grow by 13-percent between now and 2022.

“Research shows that working with a personal trainer who can show you exactly how to exercise while also offering encouragement can improve strength and fitness gains as well as help you stick to a training routine,” said Eric Dodson. “I am passionate about helping clients do just that and excited to work with Core Asset Fitness Training to bring sports and strength training to more people than ever before.”

In addition to his doctorate, Dodson also earned an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His professional interests include sports and strength training, injury prevention and working with elderly clients.

All Core Asset Fitness Training trainers are certified and have health-care backgrounds. Core Asset Fitness Training is a mobile fitness business providing specialty exercise classes to recreation departments, business and hotels. Its line-up of classes includes Pilates, yoga, and stretch along with cardio-blast programs and intensive boot camps as well as sports-specific training.
