Westwood Boys Basketball Awarded 2nd Seed In D2 South Tournament

WESTWOOD, MA — It’s tournament time for high school sports in Massachusetts and Westwood is in the mix entering the MIAA Division 2 South girls and boys basketball tournaments.

The Wolverines have been awarded the seventh seed in the girls tournament and will face 10th-ranked Plymouth North in the first round on March 2. If the girls win, they move on to the quarterfinals against the winner of Dighton-Rehoboth vs. Nauset.

In the boys bracket, the Wolverines have been awarded the second seed and a bye past the first round. They will start tournament action in the quarterfinals on March 3 against the winner of Foxborough-Nauset. If Westwood wins, they will the winner of Oliver Ames/Milton vs. Whitman-Hanson.
