Westwood Boys' Hockey Need Win for TVL Crown
The Wolverines beat Medway on Saturday and lost to Ashland on Sunday, and the team needs a win or two ties to win the league.
The Westwood boys ice hockey team had a couple of close battles with Tri-Valley League foes this past weekend, beating Medway 2-1 and losing to Ashland 3-2.
The Wolverines just snuck by Medway Saturday night on power-play goals by senior right-winger, and Captain, Brett Egizi and junior left-winger Brendan Dalton.
However, it was the work in the goal by the Captain Chris Treon that may have saved the game for Westwood.

"Chris Treon was the star of the game though, making 33 saves," said Head Coach Mike Welby. "An awesome night for him."
On Sunday, Westwood played a makeup game against Ashland, which was postponed due to snow on February 2. The team lost the battle 3-2 in another close game. Egizi scored, along with Senior Right Winger Brendan Skehill.
