Westwood Firefighters to Compete in Eating Contest at Noodles & Company Tuesday

Noodle eating contest in observance of National Noodle Day on October 6th and Fire Prevention Awareness Week

Noodles & Company is hosting a noodle-eating contest where members of the Westwood Permanent Firefighters Association (WPFFA) Local 1994 will compete against each other to celebrate National Noodle Day and in observance of National Fire Prevention Awareness Week. The firefighters step up to the plate, literally, in a relay style race to finish a variety of noodle dishes from around the globe featured on Noodles & Company’s menu. The fire fighter who finishes with the fastest time will receive a check for $1,000 made out to the charity of his/her choice. Participants include:

  • Captain, Richard Cerullo will eat for Wounded Warrior Project
  • F.F., Mike Narciso will eat for the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Charitable Foundation
  • F.F., Ryan Leblanc will eat for the Alzheimer’s Association

Tuesday, October 6th and National Noodle Day

4:00pm-close Free kid’s meal with the purchase of a regular entree

WHERE:

Noodles & Company, 125 University Ave (University Station) in Westwood

WHY:

Noodles & Company is hosting this event to celebrate National Noodle Day and to observe National Fire Prevention Awareness Week in the community. Members of the Westwood Permanent Firefighters Association (WPFFA) Local 1994 speed eating their way through colorful noodle dishes, being cheered on by guests, check presentation to the winner. A SAFE educator from the fire department will also be on-site to share fire safety information with kids and families.
