Westwood Native Scores High at Babson College
Former basketball athlete at Westwood High School, Erin Young is catching eyes at the college level in Wellesley.
A former star of the girls varsity basketball squad, Westwood native Erin Young is catching some attention in the sport at .
Young, a guard for Babson, is currently providing the college team with a strong perimeter presence and has helped lead Babson to a 14-2 record, including a perfect 10-0 in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference, according to a recent feature on Boston.com.
Young most recently scored a career high of 28 points in a battle against Coast Guard last weekend, of which Babson won 96-47. She also scored eight of her 10 three-point shots in the game, able to finish nine of 11 from the field, according to Boston.com.

Young was a contributing force to the Wolverines in 2011.
About a year ago - on Jan. 15, 2011 - Young scored the first eight points of a game that ended in over Dover-Sherborn, 62-31.

In February, last year, the Wolverines again defeated D-S, this time with a final score of 54-47. Young re-entered the lineup in that game after nursing a foot injury and hit a three-pointer on the team’s first possession before being rushed back to the sideline for medical reasons.
That second win against D-S also occured on the girls' senior night.
