Westwood Nearby July 4th Fireworks: 2018 Guide

Just because there isn't fireworks in Westwood for the 4th of July doesn't mean there isn't great places to see them nearby.

WESTWOOD, MA — Just because there isn't fireworks in Westwood for the 4th of July doesn't mean there isn't great places to see them nearby.

Needham has two days of events people can join in on. The fireworks shoot off on July 3 at Memorial Park. Food and entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. with the fireworks starting later that night. Memorial park is located at 92 Rosemary Street.

Canton has fireworks on July 4 at the Irish Cultural Center. Fireworks blast off at 9:15 p.m. The Irish Cultural Center is located at 200 New Boston Drive.

Walpole's fireworks launch at 9:30 p.m. from the area near the center pool at school street. They can be viewed from anywhere in the center. There will be refreshments and entertainment in the center as well.

If you are planning on spending your Independence Day at a cookout or other celebration in Westwood, be prepared for a hot day. According to Weather.com, temperatures are expected to reach 92 degrees.

With humidity at 59 percent and a 20 percent chance of rain, be ready for anything. This might be one of those days where both sunblock and an umbrella are necessary. Most importantly, stay hydrated and have a safe Fourth of July.
