Westwood Police Log: Pond Street Lawn Damaged, Marijuana Confiscated in Vehicle
A Police lawn was damaged at a home on Pond Street, and a driver was cited for possession of marijuana.
November 27, 1:55 p.m. - Westwood Police received a report of lawn damage at a home on Pond Street.
Reports indicate skid marks on the roadway and sidewalk leading up to the house, and a cobblestone wall in front of the home had been hit, causing some of the cobblestones to be uprooted.
Police speculated that the operator of a vehicle had lost control while making a left-hand turn onto the street, causing the damage. The matter is under investigation.

November 28, 11:35 p.m. - Police stopped a 2006 Dodge that had been driving on Clapboardtree Street after determining that the vehicle was driving too fast.
After making contact with the operator, police discovered the scent of what smelled like burnt marijuana. A small quantity of the plant was then discovered in the vehicle, and a civil citation was issued to the driver.
