Westwood School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Early Release Days

WESTWOOD, MA – Record scratch, school can't be right around the corner, can it? It's still a ways away, but these things have a knack for sneaking up on you during the dog days of summer. The first day of school for grades 1-12 is Sept. 5.

The 2017-18 school calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here's a list of dates to know for the fall semester:

August/September

• 30 Teachers' first day
• 1-4 Labor Day Weekend
• 5 Students' First Day
• 21 Rosh Hashanah

October

• 9 Columbus Day

November

• 10 Veterans Day
• 22 Half day
• 23-24 Thanksgiving
• 27 All Day Inservice

December

• 25-29 Winter Vacation
