Celebrate the Visual Arts Featuring the work of local and regional artists including 11 South Shore Residents

Local artists will display their talent at Art on the Green at The Pinehills on June 18th

Plymouth, MA – Art on the Green: an art exhibit and market featuring over 85 local and regional artists showcasing their paintings, wood and glass art, photography, sculptures, eclectic jewelry, wearable art and more! The event runs from 10am to 4pm and will also feature live steel drum music and food for purchase at the soon to be opened Café Roo, The Market, Mamma Mia’s, Rye Tavern, Mirbeau Inn & Spa, East Bay Grille at The Pinehills Golf Club, Compliments Food Truck and Ben + Jerry’s Ice Cream.

The Art on the Green 2016 event on June 18th will feature several artists from surrounding communities. Many of these local artists are the South Shore’s own residents displaying their artistic talents. These artists include:

  • Albert LaFrance of Hand Turned Writing Instruments out of Weymouth, MA
  • Lauren Carberry of Carberry Kitchen out of East Weymouth, MA
  • Sean Drain of American Pallet Design out of Quincy, MA
  • Jody Walker of Spritzal Cookie Company, LLC out of Rockland, MA
  • Mary Fernandes of Vermarje out of Randolph, MA
  • Jack Pattison of Bird Mansions by Jack Pattison out of Kingston, MA
  • P. Anthony Visco of The Art of P. Anthony Visco out of Kingston, MA
  • Greta Gaeta of Kent Farm Scarves out of Marshfield, MA
  • Linda Weber of The Sandpiper out of Marshfield, MA
  • Jaine Davies of Pretty Funky out of Norwell, MA
  • John Bailey of Birds Eye View out of Holbrook, MA

At Art on the Green, families are not only invited to take part in the growing arts scene of the community but they are also invited to bring their children out to the Kids Corner for face painting. Purchase a $5 white tie to decorate for Dad in honor of Father’s Day and support The Home for Little Wanderers, Southeast Campus where all proceeds will be donated.

The South Shore has a blossoming arts scene led by various diverse and talented artists; their work, from hand-dyed scarves to jewelry, adds beauty to the community. The event at The Pinehills invites families to come out and support the local art community.

All exhibitors are under tents, so visitors will be shaded or dry pending the weather conditions. Patrons can also visit The Summerhouse Welcome Center for information on The Pinehills and to tour all model homes that are open daily, 9am-5pm.
