Rockland Trust today announced a $50,000 grant to the South Shore YMCA in a five-year pledge to support the YMCA’s Annual Support campaign. The campaign provides an opportunity for every person in the South Shore community, regardless of age, income or background, to learn, grow, and thrive through programs such as camps, early learning programs, after school care programs, and healthy living events.
“At Rockland Trust, we recognize the importance of the YMCA’s programs,” said Stephen Hall, First Vice President at Rockland Trust. “We are proud to support their youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility initiatives for individuals throughout the South Shore.”
The YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign is one of the primary financial resources the South Shore YMCA uses to build healthy, confident, and caring children, adults, families, and communities. With the help of the campaign last year, the South Shore YMCA awarded more than $2 million to provide possibilities for local children of all ages to participate in a variety of beneficial development programs.

“Without the support of our partners, including Rockland Trust, our programs would not be possible,” said Paul Gorman, President of the South Shore YMCA. “We are grateful for our friends at Rockland Trust, whose philanthropic spirit matches our focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.”
