Committee to Look at Marijuana Dispensaries in Weymouth

WEYMOUTH, MA — With legal marijuana on the way to Weymouth, Mayor Robert Hedlund is forming a committee to address the issue.

Hedlund told the Patriot Ledger that he is working to form a committee that will study the town's legal options and possible benefits. Weymouth supported Question 4 by a small margin of 162 votes.

Hedlund said several marijuana dispensaries have approached him about setting up shop in town. It will be some time before the doors at a dispensary in Weymouth can open. The state will not be issuing licenses until mid-2018.
