Coyote Shot and Killed With Arrow in Weymouth

Anyone with information on the deceased coyote can contact Weymouth Police Animal Control.

A coyote was shot and killed with an arrow in Weymouth this week.

Weymouth Police Animal Control are looking to speak to anyone who has information about the coyote.

Police reported the coyote on Tuesday night. Police investigation revealed the coyote was shot with an arrow and dumped at the end of Island View Road at Whitman’s Pond.

Weymouth Police Department posted about the deceased coyote on their Facebook page. Many residents argued in the comments section regarding whether or not residents have the right to kill a coyote.

The Town can only take action against coyotes that are found attacking persons, according to Weymouth Police Department website.
