The public is invited to the groundbreaking
ceremony for Fairing Way, the newest 55+
active retirement community on the South Shore of Boston.
Joyce Haglund, Executive Director, will kick-off construction with the same shovel used in 1935 to break ground on the campus of The William B. Eventide Home (Quincy), Fairing Way’s not-for-profit sponsor. The program will honor Rice Eventide’s nearly 90-year role as an innovator in South Shore senior living.
Matthew Barry of Starwood Land Ventures (managers of SouthField, where Fairing Way is located) will make remarks during the ceremony along with James Seagle, President of Rogerson Communities, the community’s non-profit developer. Representatives from Massachusetts Housing & Economic Development office are expected to attend.
The event will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live music. Register by phone at 781-812-1357 or at www.fairingway.org/events
Fairing Way is an innovative hybrid of traditional continuing care retirement communities and 55+ lifestyle communities. It will include 109 independent living apartments, superior amenities such as a two-story clubhouse and a Fitness Center.
