FBI Investigating Threats at Weymouth Schools
Schools in Weymouth received threats on Friday and Monday.

The FBI and police are investigating a series of bomb threats called into schools in Weymouth and various other towns in Massachusetts.
Tuesday, schools in Groton, Weymouth, Taunton, Arlington, Plymouth, Waltham, Ayer, Tewksbury, Newton, Billerica, Swampscott, Boston, Kingston and Westford, received bomb threats according to state police. This is in addition to threats received by schools in Falmouth, Bourne, Mashpee, Plymouth, Weymouth, Arlington, and Boston on Friday.
“State Police attached to the Commonwealth Fusion Center are assisting the FBI with a coordinated investigation into the source or sources of the threats. The Fusion Center is also compiling information about the threats to share with local law enforcement agencies and fire departments across the state and other Fusion Centers in the United States,” the Massachusetts State Police said in a release.

On Friday, both middle school campuses received an automated bomb threat, prompting the evacuation of both buildings. Tuesday, Weymouth High School and Adams Middle School both received threats. The campuses went into “stay put” mode as police searched the buildings.
In both cases, no suspicious packages were found.
