Hingham Man Arrested For Buying Marijuana at Weymouth T Station

Police arrested a Hingham man early Saturday morning after he was trying to purchase marijuana at the East Weymouth commuter rail station.

A young Hingham man was arrested over the weekend for trying to purchase marijuana at a Weymouth T Station.

Police said Zachary Gebhardt, 23 of 307 Main Street, Hingham along with a 16-year-old were purchasing marijuana in the East Weymouth commuter rail parking lot just after 3 a.m. when they were spotted by an officer on patrol of the T Station.

Police arrested Gebhardt for trespassing, conspiracy to violate the drug law, and for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Police also arrested the 16-year-old who and charged him with trespassing and conspiracy to violate the drug law.

"The kid they were buying marijuana from took off on a bicycle and was not found," Weymouth Police Captain Richard Fulle said in an email.
