Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O'Donnell to Speak to the Weymouth Council on Aging

Norfolk County Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell will be the guest speaker at the Weymouth Council on Aging on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at 10:00am.  The meeting will be held at the John P. McCulloch Building, 182 Green St. in North Weymouth. 

The Register will speak about the historical nature of the Registry and the efforts to modernize and computerize the vast number of Norfolk County real estate records.  He will also provide information about the Massachusetts Homestead Act and address any questions that attendees might have. Members of the Registry staff will also be on hand with computers and printers to assist anyone interested in obtaining a copy of their deed or any other Registry of Deeds related matter. 

This is a community outreach initiative sponsored by the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds. It is Register O’Donnell’s goal to provide a convenient way for residents to learn more about how the Registry serves Norfolk County while conducting Registry business closer to home. Although Registry staff cannot provide legal advice, they will be able to answer basic questions, provide general information, take a document for recording and assist in filling out Homestead Declaration Forms.
