O'Connor Wins First Full State Senate Term

WEYMOUTH, MA - Patrick O'Connor can now serve his first full term following a win Tuesday night.

The Boston Globe has called the race for the Republican state senator from Weymouth. With 48 percent of the vote reported, O'Connor leads Democrat and Hingham Selectman Paul Gannon 26,136-20,507 in the race for the Plymouth and Norfolk District seat.

The win gives, O'Connnor his first full term at the State House, following is special election win in May. Gannon was a post-primary selection after former Hull Selectman Joan Meschino opted to run for state rep.
