Patriots Players Participate in Weymouth High School Weycathlon
The event was to celebrate volunteerism at Weymouth High School.
Weymouth, MA — When you put in a lot of hours volunteering, good things can happen.
Monday, Weymouth High School hosted the second annual Weycathlon as part of the school's efforts to promote volunteerism. Joining the celebration were Patriots players Matthew Slater, James White, Jordan Richards and AJ Derby.
In order to participate in the event, students from the school’s Volunteers In Practice program had to help raise money for the district schools and local nonprofit organizations, according to the Patriots.

Elementary school students were also on hand to take part in obstacle courses, relay races and more.
Over the past five years, students at the school have accumulated 116,000 volunteer hours. To mark the achievement, the Patriots presented the school with a game ball.
