Police Use Weymouth K9 to Track Overnight Break-in Suspect
The following information was provided by the Hingham Police Department. Where arrests are mentions, it does not indicate a conviction.

Weymouth police using a K9 helped Hingham officers track a break-in suspect early Tuesday morning, losing the trail near Main Street.
A Thayer Street resident told police that he was awoken at 4:16 a.m. to the sound of a car door closing in his driveway and saw a man outside his window, the department said in an electronic message.
Popular Stories "The resident yelled out to the man and he fled on foot toward Central St. The man was described as in his mid 20's wearing a sweatshirt or windbreaker with yellow lettering," according to the HPD.
The K9 tracked the suspect through several yards and the Lincoln School apartments before the trail was lost. The resident said the only missing item was a key fob left unlocked in his car.
"Officers checked other parked cars in the area and were unable to determine if any other cars had been entered," the department said.
Five cars were entered at five different houses. One was rummaged through but nothing appeared missing, and items stolen from the others included an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, car charger and loose change.
Officers found a contractor's tool on the side of the street on Lafayette Ave, according to the department. This may have been stolen from a unlocked car and dropped or discarded.
