South Shore Hospital Looking for Volunteers

South Shore Hospital is searching for volunteers for their retail shops, including the Friendly Shop and Cottage Shop.  

As a South Shore Hospital volunteer, you will receive:

• 20 percent discount in the hospital’s charitable gift shops. 
• Complimentary meal in the hospital dining room (up to $6 value) on the days a volunteer is working or attending a hospital meeting.
• Invitation to the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
• Service pins or certificates, in recognition of years/hours of service.

 Volunteers are also eligible to take advantage of some of the benefits offered to South Shore Hospital employees, including:

• Free annual flu immunizations.
• Discounts on selected South Shore Hospital seminars, classes and health programs.
• Discounts at participating area merchants, such as dry-cleaners, travel agencies, cinemas, restaurants, and other retailers.

The following shifts are available:

·        Mornings:  9 a.m.–1 p.m.
·        Afternoons:  1 p.m.- 4 p.m.
·        Evenings:  4 p.m.-8 p.m.
·        Weekends:  Flexible
