Teen Crashes into Weymouth Home, Arrested For OUI Drugs

Dodge Ram truck driven by Todd Callbeck, 17, jumped the curb, struck a stone wall and drove into the residence at 162 Middle Street.

Police say a Pepperell teen was driving under the influence of drugs when he drove up on the sidewalk, almost hit a pedestrian and then crashed into a Weymouth home on Monday. 

The crash occurred at about 6:45 p.m.  when the Dodge Ram truck driven by Todd Callbeck, 17, jumped the curb, struck a stone wall and drove into the residence at 162 Middle Street, Weymouth Police Sgt. Erine Metcalf said. 

A pedestrian, who was walking on the sidewalk had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck. She was transported to South Shore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no one from the home was injured, police said.

Callbeck fled the scene and was located near the 7-11 convenience store at North and Church Street, police said.  He was found with a  cellophane baggie containing pills, according to Metcalf.

Callbeck was charged with operating to endanger, leaving the scene of property damage, leaving the scene personal injury, OUI drugs, possession of Class B substance, marked lanes violation, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct.

He was arraigned on Tuesday at Quincy District Court.
