Two Weymouth Men Caught in Iowa with 55 Pounds of Marijuana
Iowa State Troopers busted two Weymouth men and a Quincy man with transporting 55 pounds of marijuana across Iowa.

Two Weymouth men and a Quincy man are facing felony drug charges after they were arrested in Iowa last week while transporting 55 pounds of marijuana across the country.
An Iowa State Trooper discovered the trunk load of marijuana following a traffic stop in Adair County along Interstate 80 last Wednesday at noon, according to a statement released by the Iowa Department of Public Safety. A State Trooper smelled the odor of marijuana when he approached the vehicle.
Iowa State Trooper Sergeant Robert Mordini said the case is still under investigation but it appears the men were transporting the 55 pounds of hydro marijuana from the East Coast to West Coast.

Mordini said Interstate 80 runs from the West Coast to New Jersey and is very popular road used by smugglers who transport drugs across the country.
State troopers arrested Kevin J. Ciardi, 22, and Adam G. Salhaney, 23 of Weymouth and charged them with conspiracy to commit a felony by delivering more than 50 pounds of marijuana.

John Fell, 22, of Quincy was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, failure to affix, drug tax stamp, and prohibited acts.
State Troopers continue to participate in the investigation with the assistance of the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
