UPDATE: Bomb Threats Made at 3 Weymouth Schools

The threats are the second time since Friday schools in Weymouth have received threats.

Schools in Weymouth have once again received a threatening computerized phone call.

Tuesday morning, Weymouth High School, Abigail Middle School and Chapman Middle School were placed in “stay put” status after receiving a call described as “a low-level threat.”

Students and faculty were ordered to stay put as police swept the buildings. No suspicious items were found during a search K9 bomb detection units, according to the Weymouth Police Department.

The threat is the second in Weymouth since Friday when both middle schools received a threat by phone.

Like Friday, the threat appears to not be exclusive to Weymouth. Schools in Arlington, Tewksbury, Waltham, Ayer, Shirley, Newton, Billerica, Plymouth, and Taunton have all received threats according to WHDH.

The incident is under investigation by the Weymouth Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and federal authorities.
