Weymouth Man Indicted on Child Rape Charges

Sean P. Sullivan faces multiple child rape charges out of Norfolk Superior Court.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth man will face multiple child rape charges following an indictment handed down by a Norfolk County Grand Jury.

Sean P. Sullivan, 53, was indicted on two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child over 14 and four counts each of child rape with force and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, according to the Patriot Ledger. He was arraigned in Quincy District Court in September and the indictment moves the case from district court to superior court.

Sullivan is currently free after posting $1,000 bail.

Police say the charges are from a rape allegation involving a 5-year-old boy but court records for the case have been impounded.

Sullivan is due back in Norfolk County Superior Court Feb. 8 for his arraignment.
