Melissa Hardy, the woman murdered in South Boston earlier this week is the daughter of a Weymouth man.
Hardy was allegedly slain when she went to retrieve her things from her convicted rapist ex-boyfriend, according to the Boston Herald.
The murder left her father, James hardy of Weymouth with memories of his final advice to the daughter, the Herald reported.
James Hardy said he used to tell her to get away from her abusive boyfriend,Martin E. Jiminez, 43.
“You’ve got to stay out of abusive situations,” Hardy told the Herald. "He told her where to go, what to do, what to eat. He was making her do everything, and she thought it was all right.”
Hardy's body was found on Wednesday.
Jiminez, charged with murder yesterday, was ordered held without bail.
