Weymouth Resident Wins $1 Million Prize in State Lottery Game

The prize came from the state lottery's 40th Anniversary Millions instant game.

Michelle Burns of Weymouth is the latest $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s“40th Anniversary Millions”instant game.

Burns opted to receive her prize in the form of a one-time cash payment of $650,000 (less taxes). She plans on using some of her winnings to help her parents in their retirement.

Burns, who works in the airline industry, purchased her winning ticket at Newslink, 100 Terminal A at Logan Airport in East Boston. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

There are two $10 million prizes and ten $1 million prizes remaining in the “40th Anniversary Millions” $20 instant game.
