Weymouth Swears-In Three New Officers
Three new officers, who are all veterans from Weymouth have been added to the Weymouth Police Department.

Three new officers will join the Weymouth Police Department after they were sworn in by the Town Clerk on Monday.
Michael C. Chesna, 36, and Joseph J Sgambato, 27, each of Weymouth along with Derek A. Holbrook of Hanson each graduated from Boylston Police Academy last Friday. They will now have six weeks of training with a field training officer before working alone, Weymouth Police Captain Richard Fuller said.
Chesna grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. He also has a Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and is a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sgambato grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Archbishop Williams High School. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Roger Williams University and is also a veteran and served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army where he served in Afghanistan.
Holbrook, age 28 grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Post University. He is a veteran of the Marine Corps where he served overseas in Japan and the Philippines.
