Weymouth Town Council to Review New Tufts Library Schematics
Tuesday night, the Weymouth Town Council will review the schematic design of the new Tufts Public Library.

WEYMOUTH, MA — The new Tufts Library project could take an important step forward Tuesday night.
At 7:30 p.m., the Weymouth Town Council is scheduled to meet at Town Hall. On the agenda, "Acceptance of a New Public Library Schematic Design for Submission to the Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program" is listed under "Reports of Committees."
The town hopes to build a new 53,000-square-foot library at the site of the current library. An application for a state grant from the Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program that would cover 43 percent of the costs is due on Jan. 26 and the state will rank the projects for funding next summer, according to the Patriot Ledger.
