Weymouth Woman Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

A Weymouth woman has been arrested after assaulting two police officers in Manchester, N.H.

Stephanie Farley, 29, was charged with two counts simple assault, possession of a controlled drug, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest/detention.

According to police, several officers arrived at a Tory Road home at 10:25 p.m. on Feb. 7, after receiving a report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, two officers located Farley outside the home.

According to the affidavit, Farley was acting hysterically while yelling profanities at no one in particular and appeared to be under the influence. The officers attempted to gather information from Farley to ascertain pertinent information, but she was uncooperative. A resident of the home claimed he answered the door when Farley knocked because she claimed she needed help. The homeowner stated he had never seen the female before the brief interaction on that day and thought she truly needed help.

The officers advised her several times to refrain from acting disorderly and was taken into custody.

During the arrest, Farley allegedly kicked an officer, spit on a second one, and remained uncooperative during the booking process.

She will appear in 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on February 9, 2015.
