Weymouth Woman Charged With OUI After Crashing Into Pole
The accident knocked power lines down across Route 18 and as of Tuesday morning, utility crews are still working on the pole.

Traffic was backed up on Route 18 Tuesday morning while utility crews fixed a pole destroyed by an alleged drunk driver.
Police said Melissa A. Nash, 31, of Colonel’s Lane, Weymouth was drunk when she drove into the utility pole, snapping it in half at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Nash was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol after failing several field sobriety tests, according to Weymouth Police Cpt. Rick Fuller.

Police said Nash was travelling north on Route 18 when she veered off the road striking the utility pole. Nash was uninjured in the accident. She is due to be arraigned today in Quincy District Court.
