Woman Charged with Stomping Kitten to Death Says Police Got Story Wrong
Ellie Campbell says she didn't run over her kitten named Pumpkin.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth woman accused of stomping a kitten to death says police got the story wrong.
Ellie Campbell, 35, was arrested Friday night and charged with with animal cruelty and disturbing the peace. Police say they found found a bloody kitten that appeared to have been stomped and flattened. Campbell said that she didn't stop her cat like police said, telling FOX25 that her neighbor ran over her kitten named Pumpkin and she stepped in a pool of blood.
At about 9 p.m. Friday night, police responded to a report of a disturbance on Saunders Street. When they arrived, they allegedly saw Campbell throwing things at her neighbor's car.
