3 Exercises for Safe Skiing

Stay healthy and strong on the slopes this season!  Here are 3 tips to start you off.  See photo for each.

1.  Jumps on a block: with 2 feet on the floor and bent knees, jump from both feet onto the block, and land with bent knees.  Step down one foot at a time. Start with a low block and work your way to a higher block.  Try 10 reps and build from there.

2.  Side jumps: jump from both feet side to side over a line on the floor.  Try 3 sets of 10 and build from there. 

3.  Core twists:  hold a light-weight bar across the back of your neck and along your arms, holding on with your hands, and gently twist side to side rotating the spine.  Try 30 reps and build from there. Over time, your rotation should increase.
