Boys Hockey Rolls Into State Championship Game
Wilmington dominated every phase of the game on Monday night en route to a 7-2 victory that assured the Wildcats a chance at their second straight state title.
The champs are rolling, and it's bad news for seemingly everyone in Division 2.
Thanks to a convincing 7-2 win over Danvers in the North Division 2 final on Monday night, Wilmington High School is within one victory of a second straight state championship.
Brendan McDonough continued his meteoric rise as he notched a hat trick in less than two periods of action to lead the way for the Wildcats. Dylan DiNatale, Luke Foley, Steve DeFuria, and Jake Rogers also joined the scoring barrage.

As a result, the team will skate on the ice of TD Garden on Sunday, though the game-time has not yet been announced.
"For the program it's our ultimate goal," said head coach Steve Scanlon. "They dream of winning a title. Then to actually have gone and win it, you're hungry to go again. You might never go down this road again, so we're trying to enjoy it."
