UPDATED: Brush Fire on Wilmington/Woburn Line 'Substantially Extinguished

WILMINGTON, MA — Firefighters responded to a brush fire between Eames Street in Wilmington and the Woburn city line on Monday night, according to Wilmington Police.

Police reported at around 7:10 p.m. that the fire has been substantially extinguished. There were no injuries or loss of property. Rte. 38 was closed for several hours.

Multiple reports indicate the fire is covering over two acres. Residents were urged to avoid the area.
