Grace Chapel Spring Serve: Taking the Church to the Neighborhood

Grace Chapel seeks to serve local communities in annual Spring Serve event.

Lexington, MA – If people from a local church show up to your house on a Saturday, you might expect them to have a Bible or a pamphlet in hand, and want to talk to you about your faith. But what if they showed up with yard tools, paintbrushes, and work gloves instead?

On Saturday May 7, hundreds of Grace Chapel volunteers in yellow t-shirts will flood the Lexington, Wilmington, and Watertown communities and “take the church to the neighborhood” by spreading a little love…and a little elbow grease, too.

Service opportunities range from assisting local towns with community projects, to assisting with home repairs, to serving alongside outreach organizations like the Council on Aging, the Food Pantry, and the Salvation Army.
