It'll Take More Than $2 Mil. to Combat the Mosquitoes in 2016
The Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project is holding a public meeting to discuss its budget for 2016.

The budget for this year, 2015, is $1,986,933. That’s what it’ll take this year to combat the mosquitoes that attack the district, which includes 40 towns and cities in Massachusetts and covers more than 720 square miles.
It’s the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project, and the board has just submitted a cherry sheet and proposed budget for $2,029,800 for FY2016.
Wilmington’s district share of this amount would be $56,685, or 2.79 percent of the total.

Residents of the district are welcome to attend a public meeting to listen to a presentation, and discuss, the budget for FY2016 on Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Northborough Public Library, 34 Main St., Northborough.
In 2014, CMMCP received the Performance Recognition Award and the EPA Environmental Award.
