Last month Town Manager Jeffrey Hull gave an update on the project saying it was on track for its scheduled opening.
More work is still to be done including the demolition of the existing school, work on the baseball field, multipurpose field, parking lot, and the tennis/basketball courts - all are expected to be completed by the end of the 2015 calendar year. The Wilmington Advocate is reporting demolition of the current building will begin in mid-March.
