WILMINGTON, MA — The man hit and killed by a MBTA commuter rail train in Wilmington Saturday night was 60-year-old Michael Murphy, according to MBTA Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan. As a mandated reporter, staff must understand DPPC guidelines and appropriately utilize the reporting process. Duties may also include filling out incident reports and writing notes in the communication log. Drug screen, proof of physical and criminal background check process required.

<li>Operate and maintain transportation vehicles with a focus on safety and consumer courtesy.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicles, when necessary.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Fuel the vehicles, as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Maintain accurate, up to date records on trip sheets, consumer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Assist individuals in and out of the vehicle ensuring that all required safety equipment is utilized in the process of transporting consumers. This will include, but may not be limited to, operating ramps, lifts, and utilizing securement devices, as needed.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Read and interpret maps and driving directions to take the most efficient route. and read and interpret road signs in English.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
