Middlesex Avenue Paving Causing 'Heavy Traffic' on Church Street
Your going to want to allow extra time, and attempt to avoid Church Street while traveling today.

WILMINGTON, MA—Road work on Middlesex Avenue is causing heavy traffic, police say.
The Wilmington Department of Public Works announced last week that paving was set to take place on Middlesex Avenue from Wildwood Street to Main Street; on Church Street from Middlesex Avenue to Adams Street; and on Adams Street from Middlesex Avenue to Adams Street. Wilmington Police announced Monday that the work was causing heavy delays, and that Church Street is facing heavy traffic.

Please be advised that the Wilmington Department of Public Works will be grinding and resurfacing the above roadways potentially starting Monday July 11, 2016. This date may be postponed due to inclement weather or scheduling delays with the Town’s roadway contractor.
During grinding and paving operations, Middlesex Ave will be closed from Route 62 to Main Street, depending on traffic conditions and equipment accessibility. Area residents and businesses will have access to and from their properties at all times, although there may be short delays.

Please be aware that this restriction may be altered during construction for concerns due to safety or traffic volume.
