• Select Board extends hours for alcohol service (homenewshere.com) — Wilmington's Select Board has voted to extend restaurant alcohol service hours, aiming to align local businesses with neighboring communities and attract more economic activity. The meeting also approved grants for the Wilmington Farmers Market, an electric vehicle show with Tesla, several park events including an ice cream social and Horribles Parade activities, a neighborhood block party, and a public Menorah display on the Town Common. 
• At North Intermediate School site: Select Board vice chair walks out of meeting after town officials accused of covering up contamination (homenewshere.com) — Wilmington's Select Board meeting turned tense when Vice Chair Lilia Maselli walked out after continued, unsubstantiated claims of a contamination cover-up at the North Intermediate School construction site, despite official tests indicating naturally occurring arsenic. Officials also reported asbestos discovered and contained during work at West Intermediate School, updated residents on West Nile virus and mosquito spraying, and continued a public hearing on a proposed billboard project on West Street.
