• ARREST LOG: Wilmington Police Make 2 Arrests & Issue 2 Summonses [July 31, 2026-August 6, 2026] (wilmingtonapple.com) — Wilmington Police recently reported two arrests and two summonses stemming from separate motor vehicle incidents between July 31 and August 6. Allegations include operating under the influence, negligent operation, and license and electronic device violations, with one crash on Main and Lake and another on Hillside Way. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
   

• A Mass. high schooler invented an AI-powered flood predictor. It could wind up saving lives throughout the US. (boston.com) — Wilmington town engineers are working to integrate a student-built AI flood prediction tool, Project IRIS, to better monitor the volatile Ipswich River and improve emergency response. Developed by 17-year-old Arush Shangari, the system uses satellite imagery to issue early flood alerts and is already showing high accuracy, with plans to expand across more Ipswich River communities and beyond.
   

• Scott MacInnis Obituary Aug 16, 2026 - Cremation Society of New Hampshire (csnh.com) — A 54-year-old man who grew up in the Billerica and Wilmington area and later lived in Portsmouth, NH has passed away, with his family sharing memories of his love for game shows, bowling, and classic TV characters. Relatives plan a future Celebration of Life and invite condolences and tributes through the Cremation Society of New Hampshire's website.
